Arminta Pearl Clark Jones, mother of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, has died. She was 90 and had celebrated her birthday last week.
Arminta Jones was born Oct. 17, 1922, in Ozan, Ark. She married J.W. "Pat" Jones on Oct. 25, 1941, and they had two children, Jerry (born in 1942) and Jacque (in 1945). The couple was married for 56 years before Pat Jones' death at age 77 on Nov. 26, 1997.
Arminta was very proud of the Dallas Cowboys and was a great ambassador for her son's franchise, one of the world's most popular sports teams.
Arminta Jones is survived by her children, Jerry and Jacque, a brother and two sisters, four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
