Betty Kathryn Maulsby, loving mother, grandmother and aunt, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, June 29, 2013. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Friday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Betty was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Waco, daughter of the late Franklin Milton and Lucille Page Maner. "BeBe" loved animals and worked with several animal rescue groups over the years. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Randall Jerome Maulsby, and her sister, Yvonne Maner Strodtman. We wish to extend our deepest appreciation to our sister, Lucinda, for opening up her home to BeBe and tirelessly caring for her following the death of our father, so that Mom could live her last years in a loving environment surrounded by horses, dogs, cats and an entire menagerie in a peaceful country setting. Survivors: Her children, Mary Ann Michael, Charles Maulsby and wife, Judi, Larry Maulsby, Michael Maulsby and Lucinda Maulsby; her grandchildren, Alexandra Michael, Gabriel Nichols, Callan Maulsby, Lauren McDermott, Jason Maulsby, Erin Maulsby; nine great-grandchildren; niece, Lucy Harrell and husband, George; great-nephews, Patrick Benton and Charles Harrell; extended family members; and her ever-faithful canine companion, Charley.
