. Bob was born in DeLeon on Jan. 25, 1927, to Mary Caroline StClair and Rodolphus Boswell. Upon graduation from Gorman High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army

. He graduated from Texas A&M, class of 1951, with a degree in civil engineering. During his career, he worked for Stanolind Oil and Gas Co., the Army Corps of Engineers and the Federal Aviation Administration. After retirement, Bob and Caro moved to Comanche County, where he raised cattle and was active in a number of cattle organizations, serving as a director of Foundation Beefmaster Association and on several committees for Beefmaster Breeders United. He was a lifelong Methodist, a member of DeLeon United Methodist Church and maintained membership in the Texas Society of Professional Engineers and TAMU 12th Man Association. Bob was predeceased by one brother and three sisters. Survivors: A loving husband, devoted father and loyal friend, Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Caro Pemberton Boswell; son, Joe Boswell of Weatherford; daughters, Kelly Dickey and husband, Howard, of DeLeon, and Laura Bumgarner and husband, Greg, of Arlington; grandchildren, Mary Katherine Dickey of Fort Worth, Will Dickey of DeLeon, Brett Bumgarner of Irving and Kyle Bumgarner of Lake Tahoe; and sister, Elaine Pogue of Albuquerque, N.M.
