Brittney Elaine Powell passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Thursday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials: Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County, in lieu of flowers. Brittney was born Nov. 14, 1981, in Fort Worth to Randy Powell and Beverly Lewis. She was a bundle of energy who loved life and loved people. She packed a lot of living in her 31 years. She always had a smile and never met a stranger. She was a compassionate young woman, always ready to lend a hand to help others. She enjoyed hanging with her eclectic group of friends and especially loved spending time with her children. Each day of her life was filled with laughter and love. She attended Crowley High School with the class of 2000. She was preceded in death by her sister, Leslie Powell, and grandparents, Margaret and Dewitt Powell, Faye and Gene Coonrod, and Jean and Tom Lewis; cousins, Angel and Albert Crites and twins, Nathan and Nicholas Crites. Survivors: Mother, Beverly and Paul Lewis; father, Randy M. Powell and wife, Pat; son, Ehren Lewis; daughter, Hailey Lewis; sisters, Ashley Powell, Vanessa Whiddon and Nickie Wilhite; cuz and best friend, Kyle Coonrod; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
