Carl R. Manning, 75, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2301 Acton Highway, Granbury. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: St. John Vianney Catholic Church Building Fund or Shriners Hospital for Children. Carl was born Aug. 1, 1937, in Albuquerque, N.M., to William Robert Manning and Elizabeth Crymes Manning. He married Pamela G. Gardner on Feb. 7, 1968, in Tulsa, Okla. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Granbury. Carl enjoyed many years of traveling with his West-Tex RV Group, frying turkeys at the church and participating in the motorcycle and equestrian groups with the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty Schuster, Cissie Falcon-Korems; and two brothers, Dick Manning and Jeb Manning. Survivors: Wife, Pamela Manning; children, Jim Wilkes and wife, Becky, Linc Wilkes and wife, Jean, Tom Manning and Cheryl Lynne Manning-Harden; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, David Manning, Bill Manning and Bob Manning; sister, Jenny O'Connor; and a wealth of other family and friends.
