Carolyn Sue Boland Curry(1945 - 2013)

Carolyn Sue Curry, 68, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Scranton Cemetery. Carolyn was born Jan. 8, 1945, in Brownwood to Roy Lee and Oma Oletta Boland. She graduated from Lovington High School and attended West Texas State University. Carolyn loved to cook and was an active supporter of the Boy Scouts. Her son earned his Eagle Scout award. She was a member of Fort Worth Woman's Club Venture Chapter. She served on the auxiliary board of Cook Children's Medical Center and was co-chair of the Easter sale benefitting Ronald McDonald House. She was also one of the founders of Shakespeare in the Park board and served on the board of Mayfest for several years. Carolyn also volunteered at the Child Study Center for many years. Survivors: Loving husband of 48 years, Donald R. Curry; son, James Ward Curry; and brothers, Allen Wayne Boland and Ronnie Lee Boland, both of Lovington, N.M.
