Cathie Wincovitch

Cathie Wincovitch, 67, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 29, 2013. Service: A celebration of Cathie's life will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5550 E. Lancaster. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Humane Society, 1840 E. Lancaster, 76103. Cathie was a loving sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Her family included her co-workers, clients, and their pets. Her love was inclusive and generous. Cathie was an intelligent, caring, talented individual who was involved in many activities. For years she was involved in city planning for Fort Worth and was the night administrator for John Peter Smith Hospital. Her true career was found as a veterinary technician and as precinct chair for Tarrant County Democratic Party. Cathie was always present with her power, energy, stamina and compassion. She has left a painful void in every life she touched. She graduated from Arlington High School and the University of Texas at Arlington. Survivors: Brother, Evan Wincovitch and wife, Emily, and their son, Geraghty Wincovitch and wife, Stefani; Dr. David Fuchshuber and his staff at the Eastern Hills Pet Hospital; a multitude of friends; and many, many small four-legged clients.
