. Mr. Allcon was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Cleburne and moved to Fort Worth in 1937. He served in the United States Navy
during World War II
. He worked for A Brandt & Company as a furniture finisher for many years and was also employed by Stripling Department Store as a journeyman painter, finish carpenter in the furnishing department until retirement in 1992. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and formerly associated with Lake Worth Baptist Church. He was an avid gardener who could grow just about anything; he enjoyed sharing with all. Survivors: His wife of 67 years, Ruth Warden Allcon; son, Clifton Lee "Cliff" Allcon and wife, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Laura Kathleen Allcon and Hannah LeeAnne Allcon; and several nieces and nephews.
