Ward Ericson passed from this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a hard-fought, two-year battle with brain cancer. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home, Bowen Road Chapel, 4216 S. Bowen Road, Arlington. Interment will follow in DFW National Cemetery. Visitation: Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home. Ward served honorably in the United States Army as part of the 1st Cavalry Division during the Vietnam War
. He was the recipient of a Bronze Star
and three Purple Heart
s. Ward worked for the general admissions department at the Fort Worth Stock Show for 24 years, the last seven as co-manager. Survivors: Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheryl Ericson; three daughters, Kris Ericson, Jennifer Gillum, and Corie Wulf-Towne and husband, Skyler; son, Craig Wulf and wife, Cori; mother, Jane Ericson; three brothers, David Ericson and wife, Barbara, Steve Ericson and wife, Tammi, and Tom Ericson; sister, Linda Ericson; and four grandchildren, Carley Bearden, Chloe Gillum, Rylan Wulf-Towne and Rayana Wulf-Towne.
