David L. Baumhardt, 73, completed his earthly journey in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 23, 2013, after a long battle with illness. Funeral Mass: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Park. David was born on Sept. 26, 1939, in Burkburnett to the late Laurance Henry and Hattie James Baumhardt. He graduated from Trimble Technical High School, class of 1959. He married the lovely Suzie on Jan. 11, 1963. They celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. David served his nation in the U.S. Navy
and retired from Bell Helicopter. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Worth. David left a legacy of hard work for all those who knew him. He was known for his kidding playfulness that could emerge at any time. His wife and children are blessed with fond memories of campouts, fishing trips and his unique expressions of love. He is loved and remembered by numerous grandchildren. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his sister, Janice. Survivors: He will await in paradise his wife of 50 years, Suzie; his children, Laura and John Herrera, James and Babette Baumhardt, Margaret and Wayne Couldron, Christi Baumhardt, and Gail and Derek Greene; 13 grandchildren; and an endless amount of adopted family.
