Diane Kathleen Gude Klikus, 54, passed away at her home on Monday, June 9, 2014. Memorial service: A memorial Mass will be said in her memory at 7 p.m. Friday, July 11, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 5550 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth. A reception at the church will follow the services. Diane was born on Sept. 11, 1959, in Fort Worth. After graduating from Eastern Hills High School in 1977, she earned a B.A. in sociology from the University of Texas
at Arlington, and two master's degrees, an M.A. in liberal studies from Valparaiso University and an M.S. in education from Purdue University
. She touched many lives while working as a guidance counselor at Morgan Township Middle and High School. She also served as a drug counselor at Porter-Starke Services where she conducted group therapy sessions. While her greatest delights came from her children and family, she greatly enjoyed singing and playing her guitar. She also loved planting in her garden and had a fondness for fishing. Her kind spirit and warm smile will never be forgotten by her many friends and family members. Survivors: Her children, Jessica Barnes (Corey) of Burns Harbor, Ind., Michael Klikus (Kim) of Young Harris, Ga., Robert Klikus and Ryan Klikus of Chesterton, Ind.; and grandchildren, Madison and Brayden Barnes. Diane is also survived by her parents, Bob and Mary Gude of Fort Worth; her siblings, David Gude of San Antonio, Meg Mueller of Irving, Mark Gude (Nora Fitzgerald) of Dripping Springs, Stephen Gude of Dallas and Suzanne Gude of Coppell; her dearest friend, Tom Lenburg of Chesterton, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
