Donald Louis Sanders(1926 - 2013)

Donald Louis Sanders, born Aug. 6, 1926, in Dunmore, Pa., closed his book of life Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home in Fort Worth. Service: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane B. Donald attended Spartan College, TCU and Texas A&M. He served as an Army Air Force flight engineer in World War II later working as a Tech Rep with Bell Helicopter, teaching aviation mechanics at Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth and Colorado Aerotech in Broomfield, Colo. He co-owned a motel and restaurant in Granville, N.Y., before retiring to Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Richard Conner, and his brothers, Charles and Gene. Survivors: He is survived by his daughter, Donna Conner (Glenn) and grandson, Mike; his brothers, Bobby of Moscow, Pa., Ed of Albuquerque, N.M., and Stanley of Springville, Pa.; his sisters, Maggie Frable of Deposit, N.Y., and Marlene Sanders of Granville; and his former wife, Charlotte Sanders of Fort Worth.
