Dorothy Dixson, 81, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Leonard Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Dorothy Paddock Dixson was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Fort Worth to Arthur and Stella Taylor Paddock. She graduated from Arlington Heights and attended Texas Woman's University. Dorothy had a wealth of knowledge about her hometown and shared it graciously with historians and preservationists. She was a descendant of Fort Worth journalist
and civic leader, B.B. Paddock, for whom the Paddock Viaduct connecting the North Side to downtown is named. Dorothy had two brothers and one sister. Survivors: Daughters, Dorothy Wellman (Tom) and Daphne O'Neal; granddaughters, Courtney Holt (Justin) and Meredith Richards (Taylor); great-grandsons, Sorensen Holt and Elijah and Asher Richards.
