Earlie Foster Jr., 83, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014, surrounded by his family at home. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Epworth United Methodist Church, 1400 S. Cooper, Arlington. Burial: will follow in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Pkwy., Arlington. Memorials: May be made to Epworth United Methodist Church or a . Earlie was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Lewisville, Ark., to Clara and Earlie Foster Sr. He graduated from Lewisville High School in 1949 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, stationed at Red River Arsenal in Texarkana. He married Bobbie Taylor in 1952 and started his 29-year career with Gulf Oil Corp. After leaving Gulf Oil, he continued working as an industry consultant until retirement in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ellene Dodson. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie; children, Roslyn Zelinski and husband, Tod, Robin Cyrier and husband, Jeff, and Steve Foster and wife, Teri; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
