Floyd "Smiley" Elledge, 87, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Floyd "Smiley" Elledge was born June 28, 1925, in Winnsboro to Ollie and John I Elledge. He was an Army
veteran who served in the Phillippines during World War II
. He was employed at General Dynamics for 35 years. Floyd was an avid hunter, fisherman, flea marketer, and gun and knife show exhibitor. He was a devoted family man who put his family above himself. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wanda. Survivors: Daughter, Pam Jones and husband, Billy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
