Fred D. Clark, 75, of Mineral Wells passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. Service: (private) Will be in Alameda Cemetery in Eastland County. Fred was born May 30, 1938, in Gorman and was raised on a farm south of Blanket in Brown County. He attended Blanket High School and then graduated from Texas A&M University
in 1960 with a degree in electrical engineering, serving honorably as an officer in the Corps of Cadets. Upon graduation, Fred enlisted in the U.S. Air Force
, serving with the National Security Agency soon after its founding. Fred completed a 30-year career at Texas Instruments in Dallas, working on the U.S. space program and a myriad of national defense systems programs. Upon retirement, he and his wife, Ann, moved to Mineral Wells, traveling around Texas in their fifth-wheel camper and working on genealogy. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Thomas Clark and Thelma Clark. Survivors: His wife of 53 years, Ann Clark; son, John Clark and wife, Karen; son, Jeff Clark; grandchildren, Raven Mariah Clark, Savannah Morgan Clark and Nicholas Dean Rambeau; and sisters, Peggy Bissett and Naomi Ruth Griffin.
