Glen David Montgomery passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, at the age of 79. Service: Inurnment at 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Glen was born in Fort Worth to Troy Elvin and Julia Thelma Stockton Montgomery. He attended Polytechnic High School where he loved to play football. Glen graduated with the class of 1957 and went on to attend Baylor University and the University of Oklahoma. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War
and, after 26 years of service, retired with the rank of colonel. Glen served as a social aide at the White House for six years and also volunteered with the Neighborhood Watch program in his area. He loved to travel and was an avid reader. Survivors: Wife, Jo Ann Ownby Montgomery; sons, Troy Eric Montgomery and David John Montgomery; stepchildren, Kim Moeller and Bret Boteler; sister, Doris Marie Montgomery Brister of Huntsville; and many other family members and friends.
