Henry "Bud" Stocker, 95, a retired USAF lieutenant colonel, went to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Garden Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday preceding the funeral service at Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorial: St. Thomas the Apostle Building Fund, 2920 Azle Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76106. Bud was born in Springfield, Mass., on Oct. 14, 1917. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force and started his career as a young U.S. Army lieutenant in World War II
serving with the 12th Air Force over in the North African Campaign, Korean and Vietnam war
s. Some of his duties were with the U.S. Postal Currier Service. He was a longtime resident of Lake Country Estates. He volunteered for the Eagle Mountain Fire Department, Tarrant County Municipal Water District and the Lake Country Property Owners Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Everitt Stocker. Survivors: Children, Marsha Pelc, Wayne Stocker (Karen); nephew, Richard Giordano (Laurie); nieces, Margorie Bordeau, Sharon Higgins (Al); grandchildren, Lauren, Carolyn and Timothy Stocker and Nicholas Pelc; great-grandson, Landon Pelc; his dear friends, Mitchell and Teresa Bell, Ron and Mary Hawk; and his loving "family" at the Stonegate Nursing Home.
