Jay H. Kuenstler, 81, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Jay was born Jan. 17, 1932, in Fort Worth to August and Grace Kuenstler. He retired from the U.P. Railroad after 42 years of service. Jay served in the Korean War
as a gunner's mate aboard the battleship USS Iowa. He loved to fly his remote-control airplanes. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Wayne Kuenstler; and his parents, Hie and Grace Kuenstler. Survivors: Wife, Kathleen Kuenstler; daughter, Karen Miller and husband, Keith; son, Dean Kuenstler; grandchildren, Greg and Michael Miller, Jason Kuenstler, Michelle Hill, Kristine Clawson and Sasha Kuenstler; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Ann Cochran.
