Jerrold "Jerry" Claunch, 68, went peacefully from his earthly home to walk hand and hand with his Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Jerry retired from All-Tex Parker Services in 2012 after 32 years of appliance repair. He served in the U.S. Army
as a paratrooper in the late 1960s. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the 82nd and the 101st Airborne units. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his four-legged son, "Shadow," who is going to be lost without his "Daddy." He and his wife owned Nuttin Around Texas and were vendors at many festivals in Texas. He was a loving Husband, father, grandfather ("Pa Paw," "Grumpy," "Paw Paw") and brother. Survivors: His loving wife of 22 years, Jeannette; and his children, Phillip Claunch of Burleson, John and Kristi Claunch of Joshua, Adam and Stephanie Claunch of Keller and Michael and Jill Davis of Carrollton; grandchildren, Jordan Claunch, Tanna Claunch, Ellie Davis and Toby Davis; and sister, Beverly and Gary Speer of Pilot Point.
