Jerry Lynn Bottorff, 67, of Euless passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. Service: 11:30 a.m. Monday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, St. Joseph, Mo. Interment: Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan. Visitation: will begin after 2 p.m. Sunday at our chapel, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider contributions to the American Legion at www.legion.org
. He was born on May 26, 1946, and raised in St. Joseph, Mo., graduating from Benton High School and Missouri Western University. He last resided in Euless. Jerry proudly served for 10 years as an officer in the United States Army
and was a veteran of the Vietnam War
. He worked for several companies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area as a production manager and consultant. He enjoyed camping, working on automobiles and playing with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Bottorff; mothers Helen Colhour Bottorff and Frances Meinert Bottorff; and brother, Cliff Hughs. Survivors: His wife, Fannie; children, Jeffrey Bottorff, Carrie Stephens and Sherrie McVicker (John); brother, Ron Bottorff (Sharon); sister, Elaine Endsley (Jack); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Grant, Colton, Ashley and Megan.
