Jimmie Boyd McClendon, 74, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013, at home surrounded by the love of his family. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Jimmie was born July 18, 1938, in McAlester, Okla., to Clarence and Georgia McClendon. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force
and retired from Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth. Jim always had a smile and a kind word and was very proud of his family. He was an avid domino player, loved sports, tending his yard and home, and spending time with his family and friends. His six granddaughters were his pride and joy. Survivors: Loving wife of 27 years, Cynthia Laverne "Dillon" McClendon; son, Jimmy Ray McClendon and wife, Beth, of Mansfield; son, Jeffrey Mark McClendon and wife, Charey, of Mount Pleasant; granddaughters, Riley, Presley, Sara, Ryan, Peyton and Gracie; and brother, Sam McClendon and wife, Karen, of Hubbard.
