Keith Joseph Hibbett, 51, of Shady Shores went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in Galveston. Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at The Village Church, 2101 Justin Road, Flower Mound. Interment: Keith's final resting place will be in Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., where a service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, 6001 Rufe Snow Drive, Fort Worth. Pallbearers will be Blake Hibbett, Hoffman Hibbett, Mike Olson, Tom Gregory, Tom Utley and Randy Richmond. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Hussey, Ronnie Mount and Larry Gregory. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Mr. Hibbett would prefer if donations were made to the Wounded Warrior foundation, as that was his passion while he was with us. Mr. Hibbett was born Sept. 12, 1962, in Lafayette, La., to Hoffman and Kathleen Gremillion Hibbett. He graduated from Cathedral-Carmel High School and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Louisiana State University
. After he graduated, Keith was commissioned as an aviator in the United States Navy
where he served for 10 years. In June 1987, Keith Hibbett married Colleen Ann Klinker while fulfilling his duties at Naval Air Station Cubi Point, Philippines. In the Navy, Keith was a flight instructor on both T-39s and A-4s. He became a pilot for FedEx in 1996 and excelled immensely due to his determination and great work ethic. His love and passion was World War history and aircraft. He fulfilled this passion by becoming a Warbird pilot for Lone Star Flight Museum, Cavanaugh Flight Museum and the Commemorative Air Force. He was a God-fearing servant, husband and father and always did his best to do what was right. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of meeting him. Survivors: His wife, Colleen Hibbett; children, Danielle and her husband, Preston Bakic, of Saginaw, Blake Hibbett of Denton and Morgan and her husband, Thomas Hussey, of Grapevine; and grandsons, Barron and Brantley Bakic of Saginaw.
