Kevin Doyle Hayes, 51, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, and went to join his son, Kelson Hayes, who went to heaven Sept. 24, 2007. Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Kevin's honor to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth. Kevin was born near the U.S. Army
base near Wurzburg, Germany, on Aug. 11, 1961. He was employed by J&J Enterprises and enjoyed working with people at parties and events. He was a person who never met a stranger. Kevin's kind heart and generous spirit will be remembered by all. He was always the first to volunteer his big stature to someone in need -- moving furniture, doing repairs or getting something off a tall shelf! Kevin liked gardening, cooking and taking Joan and his dog, Cleo, to the park to play. He also loved spending time with his family, and many of his friends considered him a "brother." Kevin had a sharp wit, an easy smile and a huge heart. The world will be a different place without him. Survivors: He was the loving husband of Joan E. Greenberg; loving friend of Diana Haberman (mother of Kelson Hayes); loving son of Doyle Norris Hayes (wife Suzy) and Geraldine Pursley Hayes; loving brother of Kathrine Evans (husband Bobby) and Kirk Hayes; loving brother-in-law to Richard and Bernadette Zabrouski and Peter Greenberg; loving uncle to Stephen, Brian (wife Linda), Adam (wife Chris), Diana Fritts (husband Ryan), Iris and Eva Hayes (mother Rebecca), Jesse and Beth Hayes, JiAnn and Linya Greenberg (mother Joan Petrailia); and many friends -- more than anyone knows.
