Lacy Charles Thrash passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at the age of 81 in Grapevine. Service: A memorial service honoring Lacy's life and service to his country will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Memorials:
, in lieu of flowers. Lacy was born Dec. 2, 1931. A Korean War
veteran, he was decorated with five medals, one given for a mission to restore communications behind enemy lines. Lacy was predeceased by the love of his life, Shirley Thrash, in May 2012. Survivors: Children, Sherry Fiester and husband, Paul, Peggy Peters and husband, Casey, Debra Conway and husband, Steve, and John White and wife, Tina. Lacy adored his grandchildren, Darrell Pool, Mesha Pool-Golsby, Ashley Sleeper, Daniel Peters, Jason Broussard, Rory Shows, Beau Crouch, Alexis Conway, Maia Conway, Amie Thompson and Jessie Lee; and his 21 great-grandchildren.
