Lance Clayton, 59, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013. After a seven-month journey with pancreatic cancer, he joyfully entered the kingdom of heaven while surrounded by his family. , 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Lance was born July 22, 1954, in Portales, N.M., to Emmitt and Joan Clayton. He was a graduate of Portales High School. He then received his BBA from Eastern New Mexico University. Lance married the love of his life, Connie Livingston, on Aug. 11, 1973. He found professional success in the construction equipment industry. His honest and sincere approach to sales helped him build a large and loyal customer base. In 1998, he created C&O Equipment Co. In addition to finding joy in his profession, he enjoyed working in the yard, spending time with Connie and being a grandfather to his four grandchildren. Survivors: Wife of 40 years, Connie Livingston Clayton; sons, Jody and wife, Jane Clayton, and Cody and wife, Ashley Clayton; grandsons, Cayden, Cash and Cope; granddaughter, Campbell; mother, Joan Clayton; brothers, Mark and wife, Ladona Clayton, and Tony and wife, Kari Clayton; brothers-in-law, Earl and Sharon Livingston, and Wayne and Jean Brown; brother-in-law, Stan Blusterbaum; nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and countless other family and friends.
