LaVonne Gloria Farrell, 80, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013. Mass: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Arlington Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. LaVonne was born Feb. 4, 1933. She was a member of St. Mary the Virgin Catholic Church for 20-plus years and a devout Catholic with tremendous, undying faith for herself and everyone she came in contact with. LaVonne was constantly praying and thinking of everyone before herself. She was a member of The Blue Army and started the Rosary Group at St. Mary and many other Catholic churches. LaVonne volunteered at several nursing homes and orphanages, and visited the elderly in their homes. She was truly loved by everyone and touched so many people's lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Farrell Sr. Survivors: Daughters, Mary Jo Lee, Mary Therese Lee and husband, Edward, and Mary Kathleen Harris and husband, Glen; son, Harry Farrell Jr. and wife, Angeles; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
