Lawanda Gibson, 90, of North Richland Hills passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at her residence. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Messiah Baptist Church, Richland Hills, Pastor Paul King officiating. She was born Nov. 10, 1923, in Bidding Springs, Okla., to the late Benjamin and Anna Belle Woodward. She was a homemaker and lived for Jesus Christ and her family. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Leroy Gibson; son, Kent Gibson; daughter, Shirley Arnold; and brothers and sisters. Survivors: Son, Dicky Gibson and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Jeri Harwell and Wes, Dustin Gibson and Natalia, Kathy Roberts and Dan, Dawn Leitheiser and Todd, Jimmy Arnold and Theresa, Heather Trecker and Jason, Johnny Gibson and Chelsea, Jeannie Lewis, Jonathan Lewis; great-grandchildren, Allen Harwell, Dylan and Ayva Gibson, Robert and Kristen Guthrie, Michelle and Steven Leitheiser, Cody Arnold, Caylee and Olivia Trecker, Madelyn Tarver, Brandon Moreno, Libby Hernandez, Jonathan Lewis Jr.; and three great-great-grandchildren.
