Lowell Silas Bryan(1950 - 2013)

Lowell S. Bryan, 62, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born Oct. 17, 1950, in Rome, N.Y. Celebration of life: will be held in Rome, N.Y., at a later date. Lowell was a 1969 graduate of Rome Free Academy and a former member of St. Peters Catholic Church. Lowell was employed for 16 years with Revere Copper & Brass and then moved to Texas in 1985. He then retired after 27 years with the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District in Bedford. Lowell was a Boy Scout leader with Troop 96, an active member of Rome Elks Lodge 96 and was a member of Grapevine Elks Lodge 2483. Lowell enjoyed his family and grandchildren, camping, fishing, canoeing at North Pond near Parish, N.Y., planting flowers, cooking on the grill, feeding the birds, entertaining the cats, country music and a cold one! Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Lois Bryan; and his brother, Dennis Bryan. Survivors: Wife of 26 years, Lynda L. Bryan of Bedford; sons, Daniel Bryan and wife, Denise, of Fort Worth, Jason Bryan of Bedford; grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Bryan of Fort Worth; stepgrandchildren, Danielle and James Martin; sisters, Arlene Cordsen and Janice Mortis of Rome, N.Y., and Sheila Wood of Westmoreland, N.Y.; and very special lifelong friends, George and Bonnie Hickey of Rome, N.Y.
