Loyd Denver Bottoms, 80, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home Loyd was born June 3, 1932, in Denton to the late Loyd Franklin and Linnie Bottoms. He was a member of the VFW
, American Legion Post 516, Shriners and the Masonic Lodge. He owned and operated Denver's Glass and Upholstery for 30 years. He was preceded in death by infant son, Dennie Jack Bottoms, and stepfather, Arther Gober. Survivors: Wife, Nell Bottoms; son, Carl Laid and wife, Peggy; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Pauline Keeter and husband, Robert.
