Mahdeen West Bell(1932 - 2013)

Mahdeen West Bell, 80, A school teacher, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, at home, following complications of a stroke. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Valley Funeral Home. Interment: Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mahdeen was born July 17, 1932, in Fort Worth to Samuel A. and Jessie Needham West. She was a school teacher for 30 years, having spent the last 28 years teaching fourth grade for Joshua ISD. Mahdeen loved traveling, reading and Mexican food. She enjoyed birds and gardening. Survivors: Husband of 59 years, Jerrell R. Bell of Joshua; son, Brian Bell and wife, Janice, of Colmesneil; daughters, Lynn Bell of Plano, Lisa Bell Bishop and husband, Pete, of Crowley, Lori Woods and husband, Paul, of Joshua; grandsons, Zachary Kline, Brodey Bell, Jacob, Tanner, Ashton and Riley Woods; and extended family and friends.
