Margie Ruth Cook, 92, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014. Burial: 1 p.m. Thursday in Brinkman Cemetery in Brinkman, Okla. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arlington Chapel. Margie was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Duke, Okla., to Russell and Eva Warner. She graduated from Lake Creek High School in 1941 and then moved to Arlington, where she attended Arlington State College. She was married to W.C. Cook Jr. for 50 years. She was employed by AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 1976. Margie was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. Her hobby was collecting cookbooks and she loved to cook. Her many cookbooks were donated to Arbrook Retirement Center where she had lived for the past two years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; and a half brother. Survivors: Sister, Doris Mullins; half sisters, Nita Malone, Mary Miller, Alice Calhoun and Rose Barrett; nieces, Janan Pigg, Cathy O'Dell and Carmen Gibson; nephews, Todd Miller and Fred Cook; and stepson, Calvin Cook.
