Marvin Wesley Browder Jr., 75, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in a Weatherford hospital. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel. Interment: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Galbreaith-Pickard. Marvin was born May 23, 1938, the first-born son of Marvin Wesley Browder Sr. and Kathleen Bessie "Kitty" Browder. He graduated from Carter Riverside High School in 1956 and from the University of Texas
at Austin in 1961. Marvin was an avid UT fan and a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at UT. He moved to Weatherford in 1963 to start his own business, Marvin Browder Jr. Oil Co. Marvin was a very successful businessman and cattleman. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church, an avid sports fan, supporter of Parker County Livestock Improvement Association and many others. Special thanks to our dear friends of the family, Curtis Jefferson, Carla Fussell, The Watsons and many other great friends and family. Mr. Browder was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin W. Browder Sr. and Kathleen Bessie Leachman Browder; daughter, Sherri Linn Browder; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles Edward Dimock and Mary Alberta Hostetter Dimock. Survivors: His wife of 54 years, Ann Dimock Browder; daughter, Deborah Ann Browder; granddaughters, Stephanie Nicole Edwards and Mary Kathleen Riddle; brother, Kenneth Wayne Browder and wife, Wanda; brother-in-law, Gene Edward Dimock and wife, Julie; numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and his faithful dog, Duchess.
