Mary A. Jones Wingard, 74, went to meet her Savior on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013. For the first time in 35 years, after a traffic accident in 1978, she is not in pain anymore. Graveside service: 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort National Cemetery, Lane B, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road. Memorial services pending in November at Worth Baptist Church. Mary was born on the family farm north of Honey Grove on March 19, 1939, to Vera Mae Vincent and Lewis Earl Jones. The family moved to Oklahoma when she was a child and she graduated from high school in Calera, Okla. After high school she lived most of her life in Fort Worth. Mary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing canasta and listening to old gospel and country-western music. She met and married her husband, Frank Wingard, in 1996. They both idolized each other with all their hearts and wished they had known each other at the beginning of their adult lives. Mary was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Earl Jones, and daughter, Vicky Diane Kennedy. Mary and Frank wish to thank the Bridgeway Hospice team, particularly Chaplain Raelynn Scott, nurses Suzanne and Sheila, aide Kay and the continuous care nurses. Survivors: Mother, Vera Jones; husband, Frank Wingard; son, David Kennedy and wife, Cindi; David's children, Randy and Danny and their wives and children; sister-in-law, Frances Grunwald; Frank's daughters, Laura Adair and Summer Cromartie and their families; and many friends.
