Michael W. Malone Sr., 67, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. Celebration of life: 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 2908 Layton Ave., Haltom City, 76117. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fort Worth Lions Club, LCIF.org
, An organization that shared his beliefs of helping others Michael W. Malone Sr. was born Aug. 3, 1946, in Mineral Wells, the second out of four children born to Gene and Deloris Malone. He lived in Texas most of his life. He attended Haltom High School and then joined the U.S. Army
where he served in Vietnam. He started the Chapparal Car Club in Haltom City. He worked in refrigeration, HVAC and maintenance for many years. He also worked at LTV. Michael was an artist and a member of the Mid-Cities Art Society. He has done hundreds of paintings and sculptures. He was a great storyteller and told the goofiest jokes. He loved the outdoors, the beach, fishing, and being around people. Michael was a gentle, compassionate, giving soul who will be missed deeply by his family and friends. Survivors: Son, Michael W. Malone Jr.; daughter, Jillian Malone; granddaughter, Emily; brothers, Gene Malone and wife, Debbie, Gary Malone and wife, Beth; sister, Marcia Walter; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
