Nancy Jane Dement Ferri passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, after complications from open heart surgery in January. Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 Wildwood Ave., Grapevine, with Father James Flynn celebrating Mass. Interment: Mrs. Ferri will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Garden of Veterans Memorial at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Friends and family are encouraged to gather and share memories 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The ALS Association Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 6051, Albert Lea, Minn. 56007. Nancy Ferri was born on Oct. 7, 1944, in Rochester, N.Y. She met her husband, Tim Ferri, in 1959 and was married until his death in 1996. Nancy lived an enjoyable, full life, devoted to her family, especially her six beloved grandchildren. She was very active in her church and was a very caring and loving person who would do anything to help anyone in need. Her passing is a great loss to all who knew her, but we are at peace knowing she is now reunited with her one true love in heaven. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Dement; father, Daniel Dement; husband, Tim Ferri; and sisters, Helen Kellogg and Janet Giordano. Survivors: Son, Tim J Ferri and wife, Lisa; son, Ray Ferri and wife, Danielle; daughter, Gisela Ferri; grandchildren, TJ, Blaine, Jacob, Drake, Trey and Lexi; sister Loraine Brazzel and brother-in-law, Ervin "Dick"; and many nieces and nephews.

Tim, Lisa, TJ, Jacob & Lexi, Nancy fought I'm sure as long as she possibly could. What a strong woman she was! She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. We will always have happy memories! I love you guys
