Nathan Henry LeMond passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at his home in Arlington after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 33 years old. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Nathan was a loving husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend. He will be remembered for his passion for life, his devotion to family, and his strong will to never give up. Nathan's passions included camping, watching football (Dallas Cowboys) and baseball (Texas Rangers), his many trips to Disney World, and mostly just spending time with family and friends. He valued his time as an East Wise volunteer firefighter
. His proudest moments and achievements were being a husband to Jennifer and a daddy to Lesly. Throughout his last chapter in life, Nathan never gave up ... he bravely and fearlessly fought every day, his faith was never shaken, his smile never faded, his love for life never diminished. He was selfless, caring and always concerned about others more so than himself. He is our hero. Nathan was welcomed into heaven by his grandfathers, Jack LeMond and Chester Smith; and his stepdad, Jerry Williams. Survivors: Wife, Jennifer; their daughter, Lesly; parents, Melody Rivers of Bedford and Cecil and Rita LeMond of Decatur; sister, Christi Hibbetts (Ryan) of Corpus Christi; stepbrother, Jeff Reimert (Carolyn) of Houston; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and grandparents.
