Norman J. Arkoos, 92, passed away at a local hospital Sunday, July 28, 2013, after a protracted battle with pneumonia and lung cancer. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Norm was born Nov. 16, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a World War II
veteran and a private pilot. He worked for American Airlines as a flight instructor and a flight simulator engineer. Norm built three houses from the foundation up. He built his own computer and maintained it, himself. Norm was a remarkable 92-year-old who maintained his own 3-acre estate until very recently. Survivors: A multitude of friends and admirers.
