Paul Kolius, 88, died on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, in Washington, D.C. Service: Though Paul was eligible to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, he chose to be buried with his family in Fort Worth. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at the graveside in Rosehill Cemetery. Paul was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Fort Worth to Peter and Cecelia Kolius. A graduate of Paschal High School and the University of Texas
in Austin, Paul spent most of his life in the Air Force, stationed in both the Orient and Europe during his career, where he traveled extensively. He retired and lived in Washington, D.C., for the past 30-plus years where he passed away. He loved travel, the beauty of nature, classical music, and the memories of the "good old days" of growing up in the fast-developing state of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Billy and Spero, Helen Holcomb, Emma Sweet and Mary Moore. Survivors: His brother, James Kolius of Tucson, Ariz.; nieces and nephews, Harry Sweet and Mary Helen Tosh, both of Houston, Douglas Moore of Aledo and Paula Williams of Fort Worth.
