Peggy DeVoll Cobern, 79, loving mother and gran-gran, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Burleson Church of Christ, 1150 NW John Jones Drive in Burleson. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Peggy was born on Jan. 2, 1934, in San Saba. She was a faithful member of the Burleson Church of Christ since moving to Burleson in 1965. Peggy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Neil William Cobern, on Feb. 18, 1997, and her daughter, Patricia Ann Cobern Rose, on May 22, 1997. Survivors: Son, David Neil Cobern of Arlington; daughters, Elizabeth Cobern of Burleson and Barbara Sue Cobern of Burnet; daughter-in-law, Tandra L. Cobern; son-in-law, Glendon W. Rose Jr.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, George Stanley DeVoll of Brownwood, Neita M. Gage of Lubbock, Dorothy F. Dickey of Fort Worth and James S. DeVoll of Canyon Lake; and a large extended family and friends.
