Roger D. Dilley passed Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at the age of 78. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Roger was born Feb. 5, 1935. Believing his sole purpose was to care for the one and only love of his life, Betty Nunn, Roger led a life that was a true love story. He met Betty at the age of 16 and joined the Navy a year later to enable them to marry and start a family. While Roger was not a religious man, he was a man of high morals. He abstained from drinking, was a faithful husband and worked hard every day to support his family. After losing his wife, he waited over 12 years to be with her again. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty; and brother, Jerry. Survivors: Brothers, Wendell, Owen, Danny and Vincent; children, Pam and husband, Bill, Duane, Vickey and James; grandchildren, Amy and husband, Aaron, Rachel, Thomas and wife, Paula, Amber and husband, Clay, and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Drake, Darian and Ava.
