Ronald Richard Brown(1944 - 2012)

Ronald Richard Brown, 68, of Arlington passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2200 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: His family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or Boy Scouts of America Troop 545. Ron was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Sherbrooke, Canada. He grew up in Bedford, Ohio, and graduated from Bowling Green State University. Ron was drafted into the Army in 1967 and served a tour in Vietnam, receiving a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. Ron and his family have been residents of Arlington since 1977. Ron was an independent insurance agent in Arlington. He was active in the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and was a founder of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 545 at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Ron loved the Texas Rangers, sharing that love with his sons and grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was being with family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors: His wife of 42 years, Barbara Brown; sons, Jason Brown and wife, Angela, and Darin Brown and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Emma, Adaleigh, Kylie and Braden; sister, Diann Haden; brother, Russell Brown; and numerous extended family members.
