Ruben Alvarado Delgadillo(1941 - 2013)

Ruben Alvarado Delgadillo, 72, passed away peacefully to be with his Lord on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel. Ruben was born Aug. 24, 1941, to Baudelio Delgadillo and Natalia Alvarado Trevino in San Luis Postosi, Mexico. He came to live in Fort Worth when he was a child and had lived in Hurst for 31 years. Ruben was a hard worker, serving in the Air Force and enjoyed his time stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He also worked as a mail carrier for over 40 years for the U.S. Postal Service. Ruben would be described as giving and a family man full of love and laughter and his life revolved around his children and grandchildren. Survivors: He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Dolores Z. Delgadillo; sons, Ricardo Delgadillo and wife, Martha, and Ruben Z. Delgadillo and wife, Socorro; daughters, Patricia Delgadillo and Yolanda Huckaby and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Mariana, Gabriella and Evan Delgadillo; sisters, Gloria Martinez and Ana Todd; brother, Martin Herrera; and his companion, Pepino, his basset hound.
