On Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, Scott Harris passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife, Cyndy, and surrounded by friends and family. , to support cancer research under the direction of Eugene Frankel, M.D. Scott was born Aug. 22, 1958, to A. Clifton Harris and Jean Harris of Augusta, Maine. He grew up in his beloved state of Maine and graduated from Stearns High School in Millinocket, Maine, in 1976. Scott proudly served in the United States Marine Corps
in his early years. In 1984 he moved to Dallas, where he met the love of his life, Cyndy. They were married in 1987 and subsequently resided in Grapevine. Scott worked at Verizon Wireless where he enjoyed a long career. Scott was very active in youth sports programs and coached many teams for his son, Jacob. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, sports, and spending time with family and friends. Scott believed love and family were the most important things in life. Survivors: Parents, A. Clifton Harris and Jean Harris; wife, Cyndy; daughter, Lauren Grant; and son, Jacob. He is also survived by his loving extended family, brother, Steve Harris, and his children, Candy, Beth, Amanda and Austin; sister, Donna Grant, her husband, Tommy, and their children, Nick and Nate; sister, Diane Bibb, her husband, Garry, and their children, Ryan and Tamarah; brother, Shawn Harris, his wife, Maria, and their children, Sophia and Evie; sister-in-law, Lynda Coffman and her husband, Clyde; sister-in-law, Harriet Detar, her husband, Dan, and their children, Bess and Drake; sister, Sue John; and brothers, Robin, Randall and Ronald Harris.
