Thomas Dale Estill, 81, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, at a Mansfield hospital after a brief illness. Service: Noon Wednesday at Arlington Funeral Home. Interment: 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mission Arlington, 210 W. South St., Arlington, Texas 76010. Dale was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Belton to Lawson Charles and Fannie Estill. He married Nora Frances Roberts in Plainview on June 1, 1951. Dale was employed with the civil service at Fort Hood from 1950 to 1953, when he and Frances moved to Arlington. He was then employed with General Motors
from November 1953 until he retired Jan. 1, 1987. He graduated from The University of Texas
at Arlington with a degree in management. He was then called into active duty in the military for a year in 1961. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in 1971, where he retired with the rank of colonel in July 1984. After retirement from the reserve, he went to work for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department as a bailiff from January 1989 until he left in 1992. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alice Ruth Popelka; and brothers, Fred Everett Estill, Louis Lawson Estill, Robert Milton Estill, L.C. Estill and John Estill. Survivors: Wife, Frances Estill; son, Steven Dale Estill and wife, Debby; daughter, Linda Joyce Estill Frazee and husband, Edward; grandchildren, James Robert Frazee and LeAnn Nichole Estill.
