Thomas Francis Lane(1942 - 2014)

Thomas Francis Lane died peacefully on Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2014. Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Memorials: Gifts in his memory may be made to The Discalced Carmelite Nuns or Catholic Charities. Thomas Francis Lane was born on July 16, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo. He graduated from Subiaco Academy, attended North Texas State University, and completed his studies at the University of Mississippi before joining the United States Air Force. During the Vietnam War, he flew the RF4-C and achieved the rank of captain. Tom thoroughly enjoyed a lifelong career in technology but his faith, his church and his family were the most important. A longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Patrick Cathedral, he was active in pro-life activities and served as an acolyte and parish council member. He will be remembered as a happy person by the many people who knew and loved him. Survivors: His wife of 39 years, Mary Kaye Lane; son, Joseph Vincent Lane and wife, Kelly Anne, and their daughter, Madeline Anne Lane; daughters, Christine Anne Lane and Carmen Marie Lane.
