Tommy Eugene Williams, 88, was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home Chapel, Colleyville. The service will be officiated by Fort Worth Fire Department Chaplain Ed Stauffer. Visitation: The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Billy Williams, Robert "Bobby" Williams, David Williams, Billy Prewitt, Nick Crossland and Jeff Scott. Honorary pallbearers: WJ "Stoney" Stone, Bob Frazier, Max La Duke, Wayne Brown, Dewey "Sonny" Eubanks, Ray Rhodes, Johnny Nowell, Jack Slocum and Royce Shields . Tommy was a World War II
veteran and a retired captain of the Fort Worth Fire Department where he served for 35 years. Monthly luncheons with his firefighter friends were a continual source of joy and satisfaction to Tommy. He could always tell a good story and never lacked friends and family who enjoyed hearing them. Tommy loved his family and friends, traveling and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks. He was a gracious man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors: His wife of 61 years, Wanda Williams; sons, Billy (Lavinia) and Bobby Williams; sister, Joanne Prewitt (Bill); grandchildren, David Williams (Holly), Amy Williams (Kai Eder), Emily Wolfe (Richard), Taylor Williams and Bailey Williams; great-grandchildren, Hailee Williams, Riley Williams, Noah Lockerd, Max Eder, Luzie Eder and Audrey Wolf.
