Trumon Weldon Peacock, 88, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Weldon was born Jan. 13, 1925, in Waco to William Earl and Sally Ruth Peacock. He attended Polytechnic High School and graduated with the class of 1942. He then served in the U.S. Navy
aboard the USS Hornet in the Pacific battles of World War II
. After his discharge from the Navy, he married the love of his life, Billie Mae McCain. Weldon worked for General Dynamics for over 30 years as a quality assurance engineer and retired in 1981. He was a 50-year Mason with Handley Lodge #1140. Weldon was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Billie Peacock; sister, Juanita Farris; and brothers, Buddy, J.D., Ed and Dexter Peacock. Survivors: Daughters, Donna Kelley and husband, David, Gay Powell and husband, Dave, Vicki Tieszen and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Dawn, Matt, Mike, Anthony, Justin, Nicky, Aaron and Ambra; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenny and Donald Peacock; sister, Janis Arnold; and numerous other relatives and friends.
