Velma Neomi Hulsey, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, in the Memorial Chapel at First United Methodist Church Fort Worth. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Neomi was born Sept. 25, 1918, in Dublin to Edward Caswell Stephen and Katie Arlena Chambers Stephen. She taught school for 34 years, the last 26 were in Fort Worth ISD. She had been a member of First United Methodist Church Fort Worth since 1949. She has been involved in church activities and Fort Worth Retired Teachers. She married Dale Glenn Hulsey on June 8, 1950, and they have been married for 63 years. Neomi was preceded in death by both parents; her brothers, Ben and Herbert Stephen; sister, Emma Stephen Roberson; brother-in-law, Clyde Roberson; and niece, Winnie Roberson Flint West. Survivors: Husband, Dale Hulsey; daughter, Darlena Hulsey; sisters-in-law, Nell Stephens and Inez "Doll" Gordon; niece, Loretta Elder; and great-nieces, Cathy Flint Wilterding, Cindy Flint Jordan and Denise Flint Addison.
