
Venancio "Jr" Barrera, 55, a loving husband, father and grandpa, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Jr was born Nov. 2, 1956, in Tamaulipas, Mexico. He graduated from Boswell High School in 1976. He worked for Ranch Style for 18 years and was currently employed by Peterbilt Motor Co. in Denton. Jr touched a lot of hearts and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by a sister, Vellia Barrera. Survivors: Wife of 33 years, Annabell "Dell" Barrera; son, Michael Barrera and wife, Daisy; parents, Benjamin and Elia Barrera; brothers, Victor Barrera and wife, Rocio, Gerardo Barrera and wife, Tammy, Eden Barrera and partner, Denise; sister, Angela and husband, Donny Hankins; three grandchildren, Madisen, Tyler and Kinsley; many nieces and nephews; and an enormous family.
